About the Journal

Revista Conexiones Científicas, Neuroarte y Bienestar is a journal launched on October 1, 2025, as the scientific, academic, and creative dissemination body of Editorial MIELSY and the MIELSY Center for Research in Integrative Sensory Neurotherapy. Its objective is to socialize, share, and exchange information on topics such as Neuroscience and Holistic Wellness, Neuroart and Creativity, Complementary and Integrative Traditional Medicine, Medical Education, Health Technology, and Technology, Innovation, and Digital Health.

It is aimed at the scientific and artistic community or those in the aforementioned fields of knowledge, enabling them to publish their research findings, as well as the general public who may be interested in the subjects published herein.

It is a multidisciplinary journal with a continuous publication system, open peer-reviewed, that presents full texts in Spanish and abstracts in English and Portuguese.

The Creative Commons License CC BY NC SA is assumed, and the journal operates under an Open Access model, meaning all content is freely available. The journal charges Article Processing Charges (APCs) for the publication of articles.

The journal is aligned with Open Science and provides a space that facilitates scientific, academic, and creative development from an inclusive vision for the improvement of Science and Technological Innovation processes both nationally and internationally.

Objective: To disseminate original, quality research, reviews, and experiences in the fields of neuroscience and holistic wellness, neuroart and creativity, complementary and integrative traditional medicine, medical education, technological innovation and digital health, and health technology. It seeks to socialize and exchange scientific, academic, and creative knowledge and advancements; fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and contributing to the development of knowledge and innovation with local, national, and international impact.

Scope: The journal publishes original articles, essays, and other contributions that address a wide variety of topics, fostering editorial diversity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and impact across various scientific and professional fields. Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Neuroscience and Holistic Wellness: Research on neurotherapy, applied neuroscience, mental health, emotional regulation, and biopsychosocial well-being.

  • Complementary, Traditional, and Integrative Medicine: Articles on alternative therapies, natural medicine, holistic approaches, and scientifically validated integrative practices.

  • Neuroart and Creativity: Proposals and results of art therapy, neuroaesthetics, artistic expression, creativity, and their impact on health and learning. Creative essays on human development.

  • Medical Education: Studies, experiences, and methodologies in medical education, professional training, pedagogical innovation, and biological sciences.

  • Health Technology: Research on the development, application, and evaluation of innovative technologies for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and health management.

  • Technology, Innovation, and Digital Health: Advancements in technology applied to health, telemedicine, digital resources, medical devices, and digital transformation in wellness. This includes work on digital health, medical devices, artificial intelligence, and health information systems.

Vision: To publish scientific evidence that becomes a national and international benchmark for the construction of new knowledge. To be an international reference in the publication of science, creativity, and wellness, driving collaboration among researchers, professionals, and creators, and contributing to the holistic development of society.

In this scientific journal, we value and promote academic integrity and the genuine contribution to knowledge and the arts. Therefore, it is imperative that all submitted works are original and have not been previously published or are currently under consideration by other journals or conferences.

Visibility and Open Access: The journal follows an Open Access model, which maximizes the visibility of published articles.

Publication Frequency: The journal follows a continuous publication model, where articles, after acceptance, are type-set and published in a single volume per year. Therefore, the call for submissions is permanently open.

Publication Speed: The journal manages the following times for the editorial process:

  • 7 days for the first response from the section editor or to move to peer review.
  • 30 to 45 days for the editor's response regarding the peer reviewers' observations.
  • 15 days for translation.
  • 20 to 25 days for design, metadata loading, and publication on the journal's website.

The editorial team combines a rigorous open peer review with the efficient timing of the editorial process, which is conducted exclusively in electronic format.

Promotion and Dissemination Strategy: The journal develops a strategy to promote and position published articles on social media and web platforms, which helps increase exposure and access to the articles.
